BBC Introducing said ‘BexX makes music that inspires people’ about the launch of ‘A Girl With Love To Share’ in 2021, This was a song about Self-Love featuring Berlin-based artist Svenja Behle, and part of BexX’s debut EP titled ‘On To Bigger Things’ on the theme of growth.This came after the collaboration single ‘All That You Dream’ - Featuring award winning Folk/Americana artist Lady Nade, which gained commendation on BBC Bristol’s Upload as Track of The Week, Trans Radio UK, Medway Pride Radio and BuzzMusic. 

Newer, as yet unreleased material “You Are The Love” and “System” included in the 2022 showreel are examples of how BexX adapts their performance to give a diverse show of either entirely delicate acoustic songwriting, a mix of acoustic and electronic, or a full electronic set of potent, high energy music to suit the audience. All of this energy comes from a long-held passion for helping others discover their own voices, BexX has always lent their talent and music to those that felt insecure or too afraid to speak up. Through their long-established career as a music and voice coach, they have enjoyed championing other artists and musicians whilst laying the foundations to launch their own original music.

Personal influences include game-changing artists such as David Bowie, Prince, Kate Bush, Florence + the Machine, Anthony and the Johnsons and Benjamin Clementine.

In Songwriting, BexX’s lyrics tell a very personal and vulnerable story, but carry in them a little spark of all of us — exploring some of those universal feelings that help define what it is to be human. They yearn for an understanding of love and life that so many of us strive to achieve, bringing the listener into something quite relatable.
